This text can be read and interacted with on a Computer, Smart Phone or Specially designed E-Book Players. EPUB, which stands for electronic publication, is an open file format.
RSVI aims and promotes Inclusive education. Inclusive education means different and diverse students learning side by side in the same classroom. They enjoy field trips and after-school activities together. They participate in student government together. And they attend the same sports meets and plays.
RSVI runs a two year face to face diploma in Special Education for Visually Impaired under recognition from Rehabilitation Council of India. The Diploma Course in Special Education aims to develop professionals for special education within a broad framework of education in the present context. The course will enable pre-service teachers to acquire knowledge, develop competencies and practice skills to impart education to children with disabilities.
RSVI Braille Press takes the privilege to be the First Braille Press in the state of Uttar Pradesh. RSVI Produces Braille books. We have a huge Braille library as we are also an extension counter of NIEPVD, Dehradun. Till March 2019 RSVI has produced aprox 250 titles with 35000 copies and 6 lakh pages, including Gazal Books, Manuals, Course Books, Competition Books, University Books, Story Books, Invitation Cards, Question Papers, Braille marking stickers etc.
DAISY STANDS FOR - Digital Access Information System.The system assists people who have challenges using regular printed media or even Braille.It gives a feeling of holding a hard copy of the book in your hand. RSVI produce books in Hindi, English, Urdu and Sanskrit Languages. RSVI has always had regular users from All over India and even aboard. RSVI records everything which a visually impaired person requires, be it a Book, a Guide, Question Banks, Hand Written Notes, Story books, Comics, Magazines, User Manuals etc.
Braille Training is imparted at RSVI to the Visually Impaired so that they can study and qualify various Competitive Examinations, qualify jobs and further impart training to other Visually Impaired students.
Orientation & Mobility Training is to orient with the surroundings and to teach how to become mobile independently with the use of white cane.
Computer and Laptop Training is imparted at RSVI to the visually Impaired so that they can study and qualify various Competitive Examinations, qualify jobs and further impart training to other Visually Impaired students.
Mobile Training is imparted at RSVI to the visually Impaired so that they can study and communicate through smart phones , further impart training to other Visually Impaired students.
Reading without seeing & Technological workshops are held at RSVI to aware Visually Impaired Persons about technology and new updations.
Vocational Training is imparted at RSVI to the visually Impaired so that they can study and qualify various Competitive Examinations, qualify jobs and further impart training to other Visually Impaired students.
Misc workshops and Seminars are organized for the visually Impaired so that they can be updated about technology and new updations, latest technology and trends.
RSVI issues Railway Concessions for Visually Impaired persons whose vision loss is 100 percent. Any person from anywhere in India may directly approach RSVI for the issuance of Rail Concession Certificate. RSVI also organises camps for issuing Railway Concession Certificates at Schools, NGO’s and at places where a substantial number of target group could assemble.
RSVI organises various Eye and Health check Ups for Visually Impaired with an attempt for proper eye care and timely treatment.
RSVI extends selfless service to Old Age and supports them with required aids and appliances.
SVI is a famous Aids & Appliances center. Its objective is to arrange assistive devices for all kinds of requirements of persons with special needs.
RSVI has setup a branch in Unchehra to serve the blind in the state of Madhya Pradesh, The Branch will empower the target group by providing training, education, assistive devices and accessible technology. Our objective is to reach the ‘Unreached’. Unchehara, inspite of being a border town of Madhya Pradesh, it has yet to enjoy the pleasures of infrastructure and development.
